SUBJECT: Abused During Pregnancy
Hello everyone,
I’m a journalist, and I’m writing an article to try to bring more attention to the fact that a lot of women are abused during pregnancy (homicide is the number one cause of death of pregnant women, horrifyingly). If you have been through this or can recommend someone for me to talk to about this topic, I would like to hear from you--you don’t have to use your real name. My article will include information on where women can find help and will also encourage doctors to do a better job of screening for domestic violence. I appreciate your input.
Sincerely,
Esther Haynes
