My children and Domestic Violence

I am a 28 yo mother of 2 girls, ages 6 and 2. I have been abused by my husband for 5 years. My two daughters haveseen alot in there little lifetimes. We are in the process of getting a Divorce and have been seperated for 1+ year now. I along with my 6 yo have been going to counciling and we seem to be doing better. I am dating a wonderful man who is a Deputy Sheriff in our county and he is in my home alot. We fool around and wrestle or he will grab me and hug and kiss me and my girls flip out thinking he is hurting me. Even my two year old who didnt eevn see too much of the violence is scared to death. It seems to be getting better for them because when this happens he tells them im not going to hurt your mommy girls and we show them we were just messing around and its ok for them to trust him. Well, the other night we got into our first (small) argument and my 6yo heard us and got out of bed and started to scream and cry and she said, "i dont want my mommy to die." Can anyone please give me advice on what to do and how i can assure her he isnt going to hurt me in anyway??
